He incorporated all existing food and agricultural activities under his office. He had Truman enlist Hoover to serve as chairman of the Food Famine Committee. Together they were able to prevent the crisis of food shortage and stop an international crises. He helped Truman’s Cabinet.
Secretary of Agriculture Charles Franklin Brannan replaced by Clinton P. Anderson.
Charles helped Truman by advocating Brannan’s plan in Truman’s Fair Deal. It guaranteed farmers income while letting the free market focus determine the prices of commodities. This helped Truman.

Henry A. Wallace
He was made the secretary of commerce by Roosevelt. Wallace served as Truman’s cabinet member for only one year after being fired. He was fired because of his views about the Soviet Union. He Hurt Truman.
William A. Harriman-
Was brought in by Truman to replace Wallace. Because of Wallace’s disputes about Truman’s foreign policy. He went to Paris to work on the Marshell plan. He helped Truman.
Charles W. Sawyer
He was ordered by Truman to go and seize and operate the steel mills in 1952. This was so that they could prevent labor strikes during the war in Korea. He helped out Truman in his cabinet.

She was in office for the longest time and she was the first women there. She came under some fire because she refused to deport the Communist Harry bridges. She was asked by Truman to serve on the united States Civil Service Commission. She helped Truman out on his cabinet.

He replaced Perkins. He was a more politically aware secretary. This is what Truman wanted and he ended up changing the whole department trying to avert Union strikes and really tried to help Truman. He really helped out Truman and followed him without dispute.

He was the new secretary of labor when Truman was re-elected. He died before Truman could really have him do anything to he really did not hurt or help Truman out.

was the head of the Manhattan Project and was thinking that America was going to be attacked soon just a few days before pearl Harbor. Truman and Roosevelt followed him on his views about the Manhattan Project. He decided not to attack Kyoto but replace that with Nagasakl instead. He did not agree with Truman after he took office and eventually resigned his position.
Robert P. Patterson
Truman appointed him at first to have a seat in the Supreme Court. He got the job as secretary of war after Stimson. He unified the army and navy and having a single chief of staff. Steps to this begun with the National Security Act of 1947. He revised this several times. He helped Truman out with all of this and never was really against him. He resigned from office and switched to privet practice.
Kenneth Claiborne Royall
he was appointed to secretary of War. He then was quickly made the secretary of the Armey right after so he was not really hurting or helping Truman out. He really just went against Roosevelt on executing the six Nazis with a secret trial.

he was appointed by Roosevelt and undersecretary of the navy. Once Frank Knox died from a heart attack he became the new secretary of the Navy. He went to all of the battle zones and saw the Navy in action. He did not hurt Truman but helped him with overseeing the Navy in action.

During this period he modernized the postal service and also announced the "3 cent Gold Star Mothers" stamp in recognition of the Sullivan brothers' mother. He did not hurt Truman but helped with the post office.

James Howard mcGrath
McGrath did nothing to help Truman. But from what i get from this he was a pain for Truman. He resigned on April 3, 1952, after he had refused to cooperate in a corruption investigation initiated by his own department. Truman asked for and received McGrath's resignation.

As Secretary of Defense Marshall helped Truman. He created the Marshall plan For post war Europe. He gave orders to Douglass MacAurther to escalate the war in Korea.

He was the 13th Chief Justice of the United States. As Chief Justice, he swore in Harry S. Truman and Dwight D. Eisenhower as Presidents. He did nothing to hurt Truman only help him.
